Sending quotes and getting them approved

Options, deposits, agreements and e-signatures.

A quote is what you send a client before the work: what you'll do and what it costs. They approve and sign it online, no account needed.

Making a quote

  • Add lines from your items, or type new ones. Discounts, shipping and taxes are worked out for you.
  • Offer options (for example Good, Better, Best). The client picks one when they approve.
  • Ask for a deposit as a percent or a fixed amount. If Stripe is connected, the client pays it right after they sign.
  • Add an agreement: your terms, from your Agreements library. Fields like {client_name} are filled in when you send it.
  • Add photos to show the work.

Sending and approval

Send by email, or copy the link to share by text. You get an email the first time the client opens it, and another when they approve or ask for changes. Their signature, name and the time are recorded with the quote.

If the client can't approve online, use Mark as approved on the quote. It's noted in the quote's activity.
